Student Success Study Series
   A focus on Quality Progression and Completion

Purpose:

Coming together for a series of presentations and discussions to understand what student success, progression and completion should mean at Lane and how each of our units can help students achieve them.
  • What progression and completion will mean (look like) at Lane and how all of us can help students achieve them – i.e., what each of our units can do?
  • What does student success mean?
  • What does quality mean and how to measure it and “improve” it?
  • What does student progression mean and how to measure it and “improve” it?
  • What does student completion mean and how to measure it and “improve” it?

Student Success Study Group Goals:

  • Promoting collaborative synergy between and among the study groups
  • Sharing Information
  • Coordinating our work together
  • Wrestling with real issues, real problems
  • Developing an understanding of how the different pieces of work at the college are connected to student success
  • Helping strengthen College systems to completely focus on student success
  • Helping each other keep a sense of the larger picture even if the individuals or committees are working at a focused level
