Graphic Design Program

Graphic Design Poster 2011, Andrew KimGraphic design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.

Graphic Design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. Common uses of graphic design include magazines, advertisements, product packaging and web design.

With Lane’s Graphic Design program, you get a solid grounding in graphic design fundamentals and print work, but you also create projects in a multitude of fields like interactive media design, web design, motion graphics, and more.

Students are trained on advanced computers and software by professional instructors with experience in multiple art and design fields. Classes focus on hands-on learning to ensure students have an opportunity to gain understanding and confidence in their field.

In addition, we offer you the opportunity of invaluable work experience through our Cooperative Education program (internships) where you’ll acquire the professional and technical skills necessary to be competitive in the graphic design field. By the time you graduate you’ll have created a comprehensive and cohesive portfolio that will show employers all your talents in graphic design.

The Graphic Design program at Lane will transform your design talent into the skills employers want!
