    Promotes success for women in the trades through education, leadership and mentorship.
    Includes info on classes, jobs, trades, conferences and fairs, support groups, bookstore, and extensive, well-organized and annotated links.
  • Northwest Women's Law Center
    Advocates for the legal rights of women and girls in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington through litigation, legislative advocacy, and a self help program which provides resources and referral services and materials to help women help themselves with legal issues. Includes info on appropriate issues and self-help info.
  • Passages Northwest- Inspiring Courage in Women and Girls
    Educates and motivates girls and women to develop leadership and courage through the integrated exploration of the arts and the natural environment. Includes jobs, news, and girls and women's programs. Resources include books, articles, website, and agencies.
  • Calyx, Inc.
    Independent publisher of women's art and literature. Includes news, prizes, and catalog.

National:

  • American Association of Women in Community Colleges
    Includes awards, events, news, employment, and links.
  • Feminist Majority Foundation
    Utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically. Large, well organized site. Includes news, events, calendar, action alerts, student activist section, info on national and international issues about women, career center, sports and women, legal issues, women in art, literature, and entertainment, feminist internet gateway with many reviewed links.
  • National Women’s Studies Association (NWSA)
    Includes conferences and calls for papers, job banks, links to women's centers, academic discrimination advisory board, student section, sales catalog, news, women of color leadership project.
  • Myra Sadker Advocates for Gender Equity
    Supports research, training and special programs for teachers, parents, children and all those whose work and interests touch the lives of children. MSA annually sponsors Myra Sadker Day, a national effort to remove gender barriers and stereotyping. Includes books and links, awards and contests.
  • Association for Gender Equity Leadership in Education
    Provides leadership in the identification and infusion of gender equity in all educational programs and processes, and within parallel equity concerns. Includes conference and legislative info, resources, calendar, newsletter, and links.
  • Wider Opportunities For Women
    National programs include: The Family Economic Self-Sufficiency Project (FESS, to provide resources and technical assistance to state and local organizations to implement policies and programs that help low-income families achieve economic self-sufficiency; Work4Women : a technical assistance project to help women, girls, and the educators and workforce development professionals working on their behalf increase women's access and advancement in high-wage nontraditional occupations; Workplace Solutions : a Web-based, technical assistance network and service to help employers and unions increase the access of women to apprenticeships and nontraditional employment, and to enhance their success and retention and to prevent sexual harassment on the job. Includes news, info on national and local programs, links, job listings, publications, and events.
  • Women’s Equity Resource Center
    Work with educators in formal and informal education, providing training and consultation , conducting research , and marketing gender-fair multicultural education products developed by educators in classrooms, universities, and community organizations. Includes news, technical assistance, bios of "women of achievement," online courses, research assistance, conference materials, recommended speakers, discussion forums ,publications, and extensive links.
  • National Women’s History Project
    Includes news and events, catalog, biographical section, "learning center," student, teachers and parents centers, list of women's museums and organizations by state, annotated and well-organized links.
  • American Association of University Women
    Composed of three corporations: The association promoting equity in education, The equity foundation providing grants, fellowships, and awards to graduate students, and The Legal advocacy fund, focusing on sex discrimination in higher education. Huge site with job, grant, award, fellowship info, community organizing, legal info, extensive links, events, news, research, issue advocacy and more.
  • Women's EDGE
    Coalition of individuals and mobilized for economic, political, and social change through educational activities. Includes national and international news, info on issues, and reference materials.
  • Center for Women and Work
    Dedicated to improving the conditions of work and enhancing economic opportunities for women through research, education, and social action and addressing the reciprocal relationship between women's work and the well being of communities. Includes newsletter, forum, calendar and virtual library (well organized links).
