- Northwest Health Law Advocates
Promotes increased access to health care and basic health care rights and protections for all individuals through legal and policy advocacy, education and support to community organizations in the Pacific Northwest. Includes resources.
- Western States Center
Mission is to build a progressive movement for social, economic, racial and environmental justice in the eight Western states. Resources include organizational development, fundraising, money in politics, dismantling racism. Extensive, well organized links.
National:
- Center for Community Change
Helps establish and develop community organizations across the country. Provides policy and organizing expertise on a range of issues, including: community reinvestment, affordable and public housing, transportation, income support and job creation, economic development and housing production, hunger and malnutrition, immigrant rights and legislation, and community monitoring efforts to hold government agencies accountable to residents. Resources include technical assistance and training, community and organizational development tools.

- ZNET – A Community of people committed to social change
Enormous site with thousands of pages, but easily navigated. Subsites, called Watch Sites, provide an in-depth look at particular domains of concern, with commentary, articles, links, etc. Continuous town meeting and intellectual and activist service center for large sectors of the progressive community.

Provides teachers and parents with tools to transform schools into socially equitable centers of learning. Works with school communities to develop and promote pedagogies, resources and cross-cultural understanding for social and economic justice in the Americas. Online catalog for books, videos, and posters for the classroom.
- Southern Poverty Law Center
Civil rights legal center known for tolerance education programs, legal actions against white supremacists, tracking of hate groups. Includes Teaching Tolerance , an educational program to help K-12 teachers and Tolerance.org ,an online destination for those wanting to dismantle bigotry and promote diversity in their communities.
- Human Rights Watch
Investigates and expose human rights violations and hold abusers accountable. Includes info on grants, films, jobs, fellowships, internships, news, info by country and issue.
- Children’s Defense Fund
Provides voice for children of America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves, with particular attention to the needs of poor and minority children and those with disabilities. Includes events, data, and extensive list of annotated links.
- Human Rights Education Associates
International NGO that supports human rights learning; training of activists and professionals; development of educational materials and programming; and community-building through on-line technologies. Online learning center includes distance learning courses, interactive tutorials, study guides to human rights topics/themes and discussion boards; Electronic Resource Center is online repository of human rights education and training materials, on-line forums, databases and links to other organizations and resources. Materials free of charge.

Brings advanced communications technologies to grassroots organizations worldwide working for peace, human rights, environmental sustainability, women's rights, conflict resolution and worker rights. Computer networks include PeaceNet, EcoNet, WomensNet, ConflictNet, LaborNet and AntiRacismNet.
