Transition Academy

You're invited to Disability Resources' High School Transition Open Houses!

When and Where:

• 8:30-11:30am
• Tuesday, March 1st, Wednesday, March 2nd, OR Thursday, March 3rd, 2011
• Lane Community College, Disability Resources Office, Building 1, Room 218

Who is invited?

• Juniors and seniors who are enrolled in special education and/or have an IEP or 504 plan and are interested in attending colleges or universities, getting additional career training or finding out about a rewarding and interesting career
• High school staff including teachers, counselors, Youth Transition Program specialists, other transitions staff, and administrators
• Parents of high school students

Activities:    

• Interactive overview of how to use disability accommodations to aide success
• Presentation on resources available through the Trio program
• Pertinent and current computer technology information
• Campus Tours
• Muffins and Juice

Registration: 

• Please request a reservation by sending an email with the number of participants to: Lynn Lodge @ lodgel@lanecc.edu. 

• Registration is limited to 30 students each day.  Reservations will be confirmed by email.

The Academy is FREE!

• Transportation is not provided.  Therefore, students should confirm transportation plans with their local high school teachers and transition staff. Driving directions and a LCC campus map can be found at http://2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/mpr/locations/mc.htm.
