What is my child learning at preschool?
We provide opportunities for children to learn and practice skills in many areas of their development. Some things children learn at preschool are; using prosocial behavior, responsibility for themselves and others, following rules, and using their reasoning skills to solve problems. Children practice gross motor skills by running, climbing, jumping, throwing and kicking. Children uses their fine motor skills by exploring manipulatives, writing tools, drawing and painting. Teachers also provide many opportunities for preliteracy and language development through reading, using the sounds of letters, rhyming and using printed words and building their vocabulary.
