How To Pay For College – In One Day
This free event is designed to help students and parents complete the federal aid application process and learn about scholarship resources in order to help fund their college education. It features Lane's annual Scholarship Workshops AND the state's annual College Goal Oregon event. Participants will learn strategies for scholarship research and writing effective applications, as well as specific information about Oregon Student Assistance Commission, The Ford Family Foundation, and Lane Foundation scholarships. A workshop will be offered in Spanish. Financial aid professionals will help students and parents complete the federal financial aid (FAFSA) paperwork and online application process. This course can help you make informed decisions and address risks. Local care options and the array of governmental programs and financial & insurance products will be discussed. By its conclusion, students should have the information they need to take action and tools to plan for various contingencies.
