Apprenticeship
Apprentices learn the details of high skill occupations through on-the-job training and related instruction, under the sponsorship of individual employers. The Apprenticeship programs are offered through a partnership between business, industry, labor and government. Contact the Apprenticeship Program for information about apprenticeship classes and entrance requirements.

Development Center (Lane BDC)
Lane BDC is an educational resource for both existing and start up businesses with a learning environment designed to assist you with turning your business vision into reality.
Offerings include: free one-on-one advising; business management programs for new, small, farm, innovators, and sustainable economic growth; business plan development and loan packaging; classes and workshops; customized employee training; micro-enterprise assistance; Construction Contractor’s Board licensing; and leadership and communication.

Education

Senior Discount
A 25 percent discount will be given to students 60 years or older on many Continuing Education classes. The discount does not apply to class fees. Classes eligible for the discount have a $ next to the class. The amount seniors pay is in parentheses. Students 60 years or older on the first day of the term will automatically be given the discount on identified classes.
Family Connections of Lane and Douglas Counties
Family Connections is Lane and Douglas Counties source of information about child care. For those interested in becoming a child care provider, Family Connections offers training, support, and a resource library. Professional development classes and workshops are offered to child care providers, including continuing education.
