ABC’s of Homebuying
The ABC's of Homebuying is an eight-hour class covering the entire home buying process: from analyzing your financial situation to working with a real estate agent, securing a loan, closing, etc. This State-certified class satisfies requirements for down payment assistance and First Time Homebuyer loan programs. Class meets from 9 am-5 pm, on Saturdays, at NEDCO, 212 Main ST, Springfield. Cost is $45.00 non-refundable materials fee for 1 person or $50.00 non-refundable materials fee per couple buying a home together, sharing materials. The cost of the class includes a one time consultation with a homeowner counselor for each participant which includes a credit report and can be scheduled after attending the class. Free seminar designed to help those considering buying or refinancing a home to understand the process. Class covers the basics of both the real estate and financing aspects start to finish.

A Homeowner's Guide to Successful Remodeling
Come to class with your remodeling dreams. Classes will focus on actual projects of yours. Get your questions answered about everything from permits to plumbing, from plans to selecting the right contractor. Classes are working sessions. Four of the classes will meet at different remodeling sites to inspect and gather necessary information. Find out what you need to know so your remodel is a dream instead of a nightmare.

Since 1994 NEDCO has been working with families and individuals to help them become successful homeowners through this intensive two-part program. Over eight weekly classes, taught by qualified professionals, you will learn about financial preparation, the home purchase process, and protecting your investment. In addition to the classes, you will meet regularly one-on-one with a homeownership counselor to develop and implement your own action plan to help you reach your goal. These classes are co-sponsored by NEDCO (Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation) and Lane Community College Successful Aging Institute.
