Welding
This class is intended for students having little or no experience in welding or
metal working processes. Safety practices and equipment set-up will be emphasized.
Lab times will allow for individual instruction in varied processes. Students
to provide gloves, pliers, and safety glasses. Lab time may be used for
student projects with instructor approval.

Welding Practice Lab
This class is intended for students who are interested in improving their welding techniques. Safety practices and equipment set-up will be emphasized. Lab times will allow individual instruction in varied processes. SMAW (Stick), and MIG processes as used in the work place for joining steel will be the focus with an introduction to TIG welding of steel, stainless and aluminum. Oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting processes will be used for preparing materials for welding practice. Students to provide gloves, pliers, and safety glasses.
