Fashion design is offered in progressing skill levels. Different subject matter is presented for each level. Instruction is offered in both English and Spanish. Each skill level requires a whole term to complete. This program consists of 190 hours of instruction which includes core classes plus elective classes and is designed to train individuals for entry level positions in this career. Upon completion of the program, students will receive an award of completion.

Fashion Design: Pattern Making Level 3
Continuation from where level 2 leaves off. In this class we will review body measurements learn empire style, pajamas, women's pants, men's pants, men's shirts, men's style of women's shirts, wedding dresses, and special occasion dresses. After this class you will be able to make clothes by looking at any picture or photo.

Fashion Design: Pattern Making Levels 4-5
This class will introduce you to different types of men’s clothes including pants, suits, ties, and shirts plus women’s suits with various styles of skirts. Level 5 will concentrate on kids and toddlers clothes six months to 12 years old, dresses and skirts 3-6 years old, boys and girls clothing. In addition, we will do a general review of previous lessons.

In this class you will become familiar with sewing machines by changing and adjusting the needle, threading bobbins, practicing different types of sewing such as: darts, elastic sewing, hand and machine buttonholes, waistbands, collars, loops, zippers, design seams and openings with facing.
