We’re still listening - Community Conversations continue
Dozens of citizens joined Board of Education members recently to talk about the future of Lane Community College. What we heard is that people value the affordable access to education and training that Lane provides.
Our range of career and technical programs is very important, and so is access to lower division transfer courses and basic education. High school programs are popular, such as the College Now program that awards both high school and college credits.
But Lane needs to do more. More partnerships to leverage taxpayer dollars; more workforce training to attract employers; more sections of high-demand classes.
Put in your two cents' worth, and attend a Community Conversation. The value of your participation is priceless.
-Pat Riggs-Henson, Chair, Lane Community College Board of Education
