Physical therapist assistants also teach patients how to exercise. More detailed information about this new program will be available in the winter issue of Aspire. Students interested in this program can use fall term to take courses to fulfill general requirements and prerequisites.
Certified Nursing Assistant 2 Acute Care

Computer networking
Interested in learning how to stop hackers, viruses and spyware? In addition to Lane’s other programs in computer information technology, the college offers a two-year networking degree and a new, four-course network security certificate. Computer network professionals install and maintain software such as operating systems and anti-virus, anti-spyware, and intrusion detection systems. They also install and manage hardware such as servers, work stations, routers, switchers, and wireless access points. The security certificate is for second-year students in the networking program or current professionals in the field who want special security training.
