Summer at Lane - a new beginning
Summer at Lane Community College offers excellent opportunities to prepare for college, earn a few credits towards your degree, or launch a new career.
Get a head start on fall through Student Orientation and Registration. SOAR lets you register early for fall classes. You’ll meet with faculty, staff and other students, and get tips on finances, time management and more. SOAR will be held August 20-30 on main campus.

Learn something new such as in Will Sarvis’ Oral History credit class on World War II and the Korean War. You’ll get to interview veterans and Rosie the Riveters.
Launch the fashion career of your dreams. Continuing Education offers a noncredit sequence in Fashion Design and Pattern Making with instructor Geno Gutierrez, who trained in Mexico City. She teaches in both English and Spanish. There are many other career and job skills courses available.
