Welcome to Aspire, a new venture for Lane Community College—and for you!
Aspire is Lane’s new class schedule, redesigned to meet your changing information needs. Inside you’ll find useful news, inspiring stories, and essential information, all aimed at helping you achieve your education and training goals. There are fewer pages, and we’re adding advertising to help stay within budget.
Aspire is our effort to more effectively inform you about all that Lane has to offer. Each term we’ll profile people who are transforming their lives through learning. Other articles will look at small business training, workplace trends, interesting classes, career training and more. There are also plenty of how-to tips on registration, scholarships, and everything you need to succeed at Lane.
This is a time of historic disinvestment in public education funding. Collegewide, we’re asking how can we do our work more efficiently. How can we streamline our operations? What can we do to enhance learning? We’re reconsidering everything, from our communications with you, to a fundamental redesign of how we deliver instruction. Aspire is one step toward our future.
I hope it helps you plan your own future. It’s a new beginning for all of us—for all that we Aspire to do.
