Vision

Create, foster and maintain a quality educational learning environment through ensuring professional public safety services are provided all students, staff, faculty and visitors at Lane Community College.

Law Enforcement Authority

College Public Safety officers (PSO) utilize arrest powers granted by Oregon Revised Statute (ORS) 133.225 and enforce all college regulations and rules and most federal, state, city and county laws and ordinances on college property.

Officers are statutorily authorized to also perform traffic and parking enforcement as stated by ORS 341.300.   The officers authority covers the geographical boundaries of LCC's properties (including land, structures, parking facilities, lots, adjacent streets and roadways).   Officers may legally obtain driver identification, vehicle identification, and verification of insurance information.
