He interned at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and worked at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota to pay back a National Health Service Corp scholarship. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of California Davis in 1985.

Returning to Oregon, he began his career serving the community of Cottage Grove. In 1991, he moved to Eugene and worked in Urgent Care for eight years, then went back into family practice as a physician at the Eugene Clinic. He has been with PeaceHealth for more than 18 years. Chief of staff for Sacred Heart Medical Center since 2006, he played a key role in opening the new RiverBend Hospital.

Dr. Moshofsky is a passionate advocate for Lane and a supporter of the Opening Doors campaign for nursing and health careers training. His daughter is a current student!
