Fletcher LittleDistinguished Alumni: Fletcher Little

Lane Community College alumnus Fletcher Little has created a legacy of volunteerism.

Fletcher graduated from Lane in 1974 with an associate degree in business management. He then began working at The Register-Guard as an ad services proof advisor. He moved up the ranks after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. In 1987 he was promoted to general manager, and in 2005 he became vice president of business development and Internet publishing.

Now retired, he operates Fletcher Little Leadership Coaching and Consulting, serving aspiring leaders and executives.

Throughout his busy career, Fletcher has always taken time to give back to the community. Highlights of his community contributions include roles as the president of the Eugene Family YMCA; a board member for the American Red Cross, United Way, and Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce; a trustee to the Alton F. Baker Trust since 1987; and an active member of the local Rotary Club for 15 years. He currently serves on the board for PacificSource and continues to serve on the Guard Publishing Company board of directors.

Fletcher has supported fundraising at Lane Community College for many years including assisting with the Opening Doors campaign to raise funds for a new Health and Wellness Center on main campus.

The Lane Community College Foundation is proud to recognize Fletcher Little as a 2009 Distinguished Alumni. For more information go online at 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/foundation.
