Questions for Interviews with Service Providers

Purpose:

  • Provide assistance with implementation planning
  • Review key issues, proposed solutions, and action plans for implementation
  • Identify resources needed to implement recommendations

    Questions:

  • How familiar are you with the recommendations that impact or involve your department?
  • What questions do you have about the recommendation(s) that impact or involve your department?
  • Are the key issues and current situation outlined in the 'Five Dimension Review and Revised Action Plan' accurate?
  • What changes do you suggest be made to the recommendation(s)?
  • Are there any projects or initiative your department is currently working on that are related to the recommendation(s)?
  • Are there any planned future projects or initiatives that are related to the recommendation(s)?
  • What other projects or initiatives unrelated to the recommendations is your department planning to implement within the next year? Two years?
  • One of the primary reasons for meeting with you is to identify the resources that are required to successfully implement the recommendation(s).
  • What College resources (e.g., technology, facilities) do you think are essential for your department to implement the recommendation(s)?
  • Are there any limitations (e.g., resources) within your department that may affect its ability to implement the recommendation(s)?
  • Do you have any suggestions for how to reallocate staff resources within your department or with other departments?
  • Do you anticipate any changes in staffing within the next year or two?
  • What do you think are barriers to implementation of process redesign?
  • What factors or issues do you think need to be addressed to make process redesign a success?
  • Do you have any questions or concerns that you would like the implementation team to address?
