Roles and Responsibilities
Board of Directors
  • Monitor strategic direction of redesign results
  • Approve project budgetary requirements
  • College President/Executive Leadership Team
  • Determine and communicate the Call to Action
  • Establish criteria for process selection
  • Approve project structure and roles including specific decision-making responsibilities
  • Select members of the Process Redesign Leadership Team
  • Commit internal and external resources
  • Enthusiastically support all phases of the project, including exploratory and planning, analysis, redesign and implementation
  • Approve major changes to organization structure, work and operating policies
  • Create an environment for success (e.g. allowing creative, non-judgmental input)
  • Process Redesign Leadership Team
  • Communicate strategic direction and vision for redesign
  • Select processes for redesign
  • Define process scope limitations (boundaries)
  • Determine internal and external resource requirements
  • Monitor overall project progress
  • Adjust project approach as needed
  • Evaluate and recommend new operating policy changes
  • Review process change proposals and make recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team
  • Set performance standards for each process
