Students First Project Facts
Students First! ProjectStudents First! is the first process redesign project at Lane. Related technology improvements are ongoing. The project is to evaluate administrative services to students and recommend improvements. A team of 10 staff aided by consultants is working Mondays through Thursdays for 18 weeks from March 25-July 26. Workload arrangements have been made for team members and their impacted co-workers. The team meets in CEN 320/321, which Counseling offered for the duration of the project. The team's efforts are possible due to the contributions of many staff at Lane. Examples of processes included in the project:

- admissions & testing
- orientation and advising
- registration
- financial credit & transactions
- financial aid
- photo ID support services
- self-service information
Project VisionStudents/Customers are successful because:
1. Lane provides consistent, accurate, easily understood information about programs and services.
2. Information and services are readily accessible and meet the changing needs of students/customers.
