APPENDIX H:
Ideas and Issues outside Students First! Redesign Team's Project Scope that Should be Addressed by Others

  • Provide ability for students to do faculty evaluations on-line
  • Provide multiple student lounges
  • Open a student photo-copy shop (like Kinko's) near Diversity & Support Services
  • Provide employee in-service at times such that services to students are not compromised
  • Improve the conditions of the grounds
  • Provide adequate staffing for scheduling and curriculum
  • Post police at I-5 off ramp and McVay Highway to manage traffic the first week of each term
  • Have all employees wear name badges
  • Provide shuttle service between 30th Avenue and other Lane locations
  • Provide jump starts for student automobiles
  • Set up a staffed information booth in the fountain entrance parking lot
  • Use the WAN to post and schedule meetings
  • Find ways to be a 24-hour college
  • Provide the classes students want at hours convenient to students
  • Investigate the apparent inability for students and staff to access from the student database a
  • complete record of continuing education courses taken by a student
