Goals and Principles
Goals: Community College Green Initiative
- Map current situation in terms of CC "green" programs/activities related to workforce training.
- Create framework for desired situation in terms of expansion/new programs related to CC "green" programs and how these relate to existing Oregon statewide strategic direction, i.e. Career Pathways; Carl Perkins Programs of Study; Career Readiness Certificate; Workforce Integration; Dept. of Transportation Electric Car initiative; OECDD Focus clusters; etc.
- Gather specific information necessary to compete effectively for grant resources related to "green".
- Prepare competitive statewide grant proposal(s) in response to funding opportunities related to "green".
- Integrate Oregon Way statewide proposal with other proposal(s).
Ground Rules:
- Phone calls, meetings and events will begin at the scheduled time.
- Be direct and upfront with each other with questions, alternatives, concerns.
- Clarify roles and goals initially and throughout the project. Processes, procedures, activities and decisions should all be driven by the agreed upon goals of the project, as understand across all the groups involved.
- Revisit how well we are adhering to role expectations and agreements at least once a month.
- Proposed activities/etc. outside of or different from the scope of project goals identified must be explicitly excluded or explicitly vetted to be added to project goals.
- Be willing to discuss the undiscussable.
