English Department Rosanna West Walker Office: Center Rm. 435 I teach WR 115, 121, 122, 123, and 227 at Lane Community College. I also teach literature and folklore. My academic background: I earned my Ph.D. in English from the University of Oregon where I focused on British and American literature from 1850-1950. My dissertation explores aspects of J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan works. I earned my MA in American Studies and folklore, and my BA in history at Utah State University. Before that, I attended community college in San Diego. I love studying Willa Cather’s novels and attending Cather seminars and conferences. I have also been examining the medical takeover of traditional midwifery ever since working as a traditional (lay) midwife in Southern California before going back to school. My favorite reading: J. M. Barrie, Jane Austen, and Boris Pasternak. I
also love popular physics books, and any cooking magazine. |
