Lane Administrative Systems Renewal
RFP Phase 

Scope

The RFP Phase Project Team will: 
  • Identify software, hardware and services to be acquired. 
  • Communicate institutional requirements to the vendors and solicit responses. 
  • Conduct an evaluation of responses. 
  • Negotiate final terms with the vendors. o Recommend a contract award to the Steering Committee. 
  • Develop a budget for RFP Phase I. 
Software, hardware and services to be acquired: 
  • An integrated information system that includes support for these core administrative areas: 
    • Student services 
    • Fiscal operations 
    • Personnel services 
  • Self-service access methods: 
    • A voice response system (e.g., telephone registration) 
    • Web-based interfaces to information contained in the core areas 
    • A single point of entry (portal) to online services 
  • Vendor services necessary to conduct a successful implementation which may include: 
    • Consulting 
    • Training 
    • Project management 
    • Business process analysis 
  • Hardware necessary to support the selected software 
The project is not intended to acquire: 
  • Document imaging hardware and software 
  • Course development software 
  • Alumni/Development software 
  • Replacements for unique, Lane-developed stand alone systems (i.e., Flight Tech) 
  • Third-party stand alone systems such as the Bookstore system or the Library system.
