Phase
Scope
The RFP Phase
Project Team will:
- Identify
software, hardware and services to be acquired.
- Communicate
institutional requirements to the vendors and solicit responses.
- Conduct
an evaluation of responses.
- Negotiate
final terms with the vendors. o Recommend a contract award
to the Steering Committee.
- Develop
a budget for RFP Phase I.
Software, hardware
and services to be acquired:
- An integrated
information system that includes support for these core administrative
areas:
- Student
services
- Fiscal
operations
- Personnel
services
- Self-service
access methods:
- A
voice response system (e.g., telephone registration)
- Web-based
interfaces to information contained in the core areas
- A
single point of entry (portal) to online services
- Vendor
services necessary to conduct a successful implementation which
may include:
- Consulting
- Training
- Project
management
- Business
process analysis
- Hardware
necessary to support the selected software
The project
is not intended to acquire:
- Document
imaging hardware and software
- Course
development software
- Alumni/Development
software
- Replacements
for unique, Lane-developed stand alone systems (i.e., Flight
Tech)
- Third-party
stand alone systems such as the Bookstore system or the Library system.
