The LASR Steering Committee provided shared governance oversight through Phase I (RFP) and Phase II (initial implementation) of the project.  This committee, broadly representative of the campus community, attended to the major issues raised by the project, especially where they crossed the project boundaries into more general campus community issues and concerns.  The Steering Committee ensured that the project remained in alignment with other college goals and strategies, removed barriers to the project success, communicated the importance of the project and addressed high-level policy issues raised by the project.  The final monthly meeting of the LASR Steering Committee was May 23, 2003, coinciding with the June 2nd “go live” date for the Student module, the final Banner system implemented.
