CS Issues
Peer to Peer
- Training Request Process
- Various requests for training are coming from the campus to the LASR Project. There is always a question of data access connected with any training request. Staff who think they need access to Banner functionality they do not currently have should make a request to the appropriate Data Custodian. These are:
- Finance: Stan Barker
- HR: Dennis Carr
- Financial Aid: Bert Logan
- Student: Helen Garrett
Staff who have access to Banner, but need training or re-training should contact Linda Osak, Interim Banner Training Coordinator.
- Feedback on Wait listing
- Peer to Peer requested clarification of the process for adding a student on the waitlist to a class. Follow these steps:
- Student drops from the waitlist,
- Department provides student with a capacity override,
- Student registers for the class.
- Holds Releases
- If a student is administratively dropped from a class and then is allowed to re-add it, Enrollment Services must do a DD drop before the class can be added to the student’s schedule.
- Spring Class Schedule
- The following points relate to building sections.
- Darlene needs to receive corrections to fees before departments can begin building sections for spring. Please proof these, notify Darlene if there are changes. Also let her know when you complete the proofing process, even if there are no changes.
- The scheduling process for winter was much improved over fall. Bev reminded departments to not make changes that could affect the room schedule after the S25 run date without involving her in the process, since she needs to make the change in Banner and in R25.
- If your schedule change involves changes to days of the week or time of day, cancel the class and set up a new CRN.
- Craig will send out an updated schedule for spring term.
- Departments noted that the timeline for proofing the schedule was too short and requested that more time be available in the future.
- Departments commented that they need to begin building the spring schedule as soon as possible. The start date depends, in part, on getting fee information back to Darlene.
- HR announced that the deadline for submitting timesheets for the first October payroll is midnight on October 14, due to advanced registration beginning at 4:00 a.m. on October 15. An announcement will be e-mailed to employees today (October 13) and tomorrow.
