Anticipated benefits from successful completion of all phases of the LASR project include:

- 24 hour a day, 7 day a week access to information and services via the internet
- For students (for example course schedule and grades)
- For faculty and staff (for example class lists and individual student information)
- For staff (for example earnings and leave records)
- Improved management capabilities
- Better access to information to support decision making
- Improved reporting and data extract functions
- Opportunity to review and improve key business processes as part of the implementation
- Better position the college to participate in joint enrollment agreements and track outcomes.
- Enhanced ability to recruit and retain students and generate FTE.
- Increased efficiency and effectiveness for all staff
- Improved work processes
- Improved daily work tools for production staff
- Improved information technology infrastructure
- Updated hardware with sufficient capacity to meet institutional needs
- Modernized software systems: integrated and based on a relational database model
- Web-enabled applications improve access and service
- Preparation of the institutional infrastructure for increasing numbers of online courses.
- Electronic documents will replace many paper documents
- Graphical (Windows-like) interface that is easier for staff to learn and use
