WHAT IS HIGH SCHOOL CONNECTIONS?

These programs help currently enrolled high school students make the transition from high school to college. You can earn both high school and college credits (dual credit) for some courses to get an early start on college at substantial savings. The High School Connections office is located in Building 10 Room 207.

FORMS

The High School Partnership Referral form (*.pdf) is submitted once a year. Forms are required only for students referred from their high school counselor, for classes at the College. Billing Authorization is submitted by School District every term a student is enrolled. Send form directly to Sponsored Accounts.

COLLEGE NOW

Approved College Now classes are held at your high school. These college level courses are offered free for students who meet the academic requirements. These classes include both academic and career/technical courses.

RTEC

The RTEC program offers both career and technical courses not available at your high school, while other programs are located on participating high school campuses. Some school districts will help pay for courses located at Lane CC campuses.

EXPANDED OPTIONS

The Expanded Options program exists in some school districts to enable specifically identified high school students to take regular Lane CC classes for dual credit.

INDIVIDUAL HIGH SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS

Some specific High School Partnership programs have been developed with local school districts for high school students.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TAKING REGULAR LANE CC COURSES

High School students can enroll in regular LANE CC courses for college credit with appropriate placement scores and they must meet all pre-requisities.

Students first need to apply to Lane CC using the regualr credit application and submit the signed Under 18 Parental Signature Form.

The GED program assists students who did not receive a high school diploma to earn a high school equivalency certificate.

Interested in OnlineOptions?
Sometimes taking an online course is a good option, but online courses are not for everyone.
If you are a good independent learner and live
too far from the LCC Campus to attend classes, we are building online courses to meet your needs, and would like to know your interests.
Check out our catalog of online courses.
