Staff Resources - Accommodations for Staff with Disabilities
Lane Community College is committed to providing appropriate accommodations for staff with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Staff requiring accommodations need to submit documentation of the disability and requested accommodations in writing to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Documentation of disability should be from the medical practitioner who diagnosed the disability or who is providing care related to the disability. In reviewing requests for ADA accommodations, the Chief Human Resources Officer may need to seek technical assistance from the Director of Disability Resources and other expert resources and may need to consult with the employee's supervisor. All such communications shall remain confidential.
Once the review process is complete, the Chief Human Resources Officer will communicate with the employee and the employee's immediate supervisor regarding any required accommodations.
Lane Community College is an equal opportunity/affirmative action institution.
