Project Development Life Cycle (text version)

  1. Flesh out program director's project idea.
  2. Set up the project and/or proposal.
    • Research funding opportunities.
    • Develop proposal concept.
  3. Involve the grant's office.
  4. Obtain department approval.
  5. Obtain vice president's approval.
  6. Craft proposal and build project team.
    • Contact partners for letters of commitment and support.
    • Write draft narrative and develop draft budget.
    • Contact grants office as needed for technical assistance.
  7. Submit draft proposal to grants office for review and edit.
  8. Secure grants office final approval.
  9. Grants office submits final proposal.
