As the number of “new” colleagues become more clear, a call goes out to a smaller number of potential mentors.

As the summer comes to an end, I get a more accurate count of the number of "new" faculty colleagues that will be attending the Faculty Connections fall program September 19 and 20.  ("New" means brand new colleagues permanent or full time, permanent colleagues on probation, and adjunct colleagues wanting a fuller integration into the entire faculty) 

We have a need for more established faculty mentors to like with these new colleagues, which is why I'm contacting you.  Is this something you would be interested in?  Attendance at the program is optional, though I think you would find it valuable and you receive a stipend of $300.  For being a mentor through the year, you receive another stipend of $200, and are invited to a few events, at no cost to you.  In addition, you make a valuable contribution to creating a more lively and connected faculty at Lane.
