Federal Work-Study Program
The Federal Work-Study program is a federal financial aid work program that promotes the part-time employment of students who need additional funds to meet their educational costs.
How To Apply
Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They can be picked up at the Financial Aid Office, at Enrollment Services in the Student Services Building #1 at Main Campus, the Downtown Center at 11th and Willamette in Eugene, the Cottage Grove Center as well as the Florence Center. Also available online at www.fafsa.edu.gov
Who Is Eligible
You must qualify for financial aid to work under the Federal Work-Study Program. If you are eligible, you will receive an offer of financial assistance which will indicate that you are eligible for Federal Work-Study and the dollar amount of your award.
Who Are The Employers
Employers are Lane Community College departments and community nonprofit organizations.
How To Find A FWS Job
You must attend a Federal Work-Study orientation before you can be referred to a job. Orientations are ongoing throughout the year. Contact Financial Aid in Student Services building #1.
