Testimonials

Read what our customers have to say about the Center for Meeting and Learning:

"The Center for Meeting and Learning is our facility of choice for large speaker events for several reasons. It is very participant friendly, easy to get to and has large, open space for group networking. The presentation space has all of the amenities we could want, plus a staff that responds to my requests quickly and efficiently. It’s great to have all of the services under one roof, including catering. The Center for Meeting and Learning has been a great enhancement to our learning and development activities."

"The Lane County Dental Society has presented several continuing education programs at the Center for Meeting and Learning and has been very satisfied with the meeting facilities and staff support for our events. The Center’s catering is exceptional and our membership feedback consistently gives the food service high marks. "

- M. Portman

“For the past two years our organization has used the Center for Meeting and Learning at Lane Community College for our major fundraiser.  From the preliminary planning to the cleanup after the event we could not have been more pleased.  The Center’s staff was wonderful to work with. They were organized, flexible and willing to help us make our event a success.

The Hospitality Management lab students, under the guidance of Center staff, served the food and were energetic, courteous and efficient. The food was beautifully presented to match the theme of our event.  The food itself was outstanding!

For event planning the Center for Meeting and Learning should be at the top of any list.”

"Every aspect of the process from beginning to end went better than expected. Special recognition should be given to the Center's event planner and audio/visual technician, whose professionalism and customer service was exceptional."

“We LOVE the ‘Iron Chef’ team building events offered by the Center for Meeting and Learning.  We have booked three Iron Chef events, and they have all been huge hits with our clients. Chefs and student chefs are always eager to answer any questions and lend their suggestions should we ask!  I find the events extremely organized, from the way that teams are created, to the meal planning and cooking, to the judging process.  Of course, the best part is eating a meal that we have created together!

We highly recommend the Iron Chef event for a special client appreciation evening, team building, or for any occasion where the goal is to join cooking, fun, and friends.”

“Last year we had the pleasure of working with the Center for Meeting and Learning to produce the annual fundraiser for our non profit group, Cascade Mycological Society.  The Center helped us plan our annual fungal feast, a multi-course meal with music and speakers. The event was a huge success. Everything went smoothly and I always felt like the Center had our group's best interest in mind.  The Center provides a vital local community service, offering a luxurious space and willing staff to help local groups promote their causes.  I highly recommend checking out the Center for your group or organizational functions.”

“Booking multiple events at the Center for Meeting and Learning has been an enjoyable as well as unproblematic experience for our organization!  It is so wonderful to work with such talented individuals during the planning process through implementation.  And the meals prepared by the banquet chefs have been fabulous.  I would highly recommend the Center for Meeting and Learning for all your event needs!”

"Incredible attention to detail and outstanding customer service! From the initial contact all the way through to the completion of our event, from the friendly event coordinators to the service staff, I have been nothing but pleased! It's a wonderful, beautiful facility and the pleasant staff make it all so easy. I'll definitely book more events!"

"Eugene Sand & Gravel was very fortunate to discover the Center for Meeting and Learning. The facilities are very attractive, the food selection is wonderful, and reasonably priced, and the staff could not have been more pleasant to work with. We had a construction theme for our party and the staff wore safety vests and hard hats while serving. What an effect that had on the attendees! I heartily recommend the Center for Meeting and Learning and look forward to using them for our next event."

"Working with the Center for Meeting and Learning to hold our annual Spring Food Show was a very enjoyable process.  From the original planning meeting to view the facility up to the execution of the show, everything ran very smoothly.  The Center’s staff is professional and was much attuned to our needs for the day.  I highly recommend this location for any event."

"Hosting a Sustainable Event is a true design challenge - one that the Center for Meeting and Learning is well prepared to meet.  Thanks to you, we were able to offer conference attendees a weekend of learning that included gourmet meals prepared with organic ingredients, recycling options and cutting edge programming, live via satellite. The Center demonstrates a commitment to people and to the environment. It's the kind of place I feel good about giving my business."

“The Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE) has found a home at Lane Community College's Center for Meeting and Learning.  The Consortium is made up of 14 nursing education program campuses throughout the state of Oregon.  For the past four years we have made the Center our gathering space.  It is the best location to gather geographically but perhaps more importantly feels like our space when we are there due to the working relationship we have developed with the Center staff.  The Center for Meeting and Learning staff make the OCNE statewide gatherings feel like an annual homecoming.”
- A. Delmar
Project Manager

“Enterprise Rent-a-Car used the facilities at the Center for Meeting and Learning for over a month in 2008. We had hired over 100 employees to open our new contact center but needed somewhere to train them while our building was being renovated. The Center helped us with rooms for orientation and on boarding, classroom training, and especially, system training. We used the computer training lab to give our employees hands on practice in our software programs. The computer training lab offered plenty of room, with the right equipment. Jon from the Center staff was very helpful in the weeks leading up to our use of the site, asking fact finding questions and gathering information from us that helped us to trouble shoot and find solutions to potential issues.”

-L. Dagg
Executive Director

“Most of our employees came for training sessions from outside of Eugene, Oregon and found the Center easy to drive to.  The Center's on campus location allowed for ample parking for our guests.”

"As always, your services in hosting our third annual Local Food Connection event were outstanding. We appreciate your dedication to supporting local food production, organic foods and sustainable practices throughout your work - convictions shared by our organizations. Thank you for the exceptional work and hospitality that keep us coming back year after year."
