WELDING TECH. PROJECT
April 11, 2000 Update
WELDING BUILDING:
Facilities Management and Planning crews worked over the weekend on a checklist of critical completion items for fabrication and welding, and jewelry. Landscaping is underway with the irrigation system to follow. The welding building is becoming a case study in unanticipated detail: variables which affected the readiness of the new facility varied from technological changes in equipment since plans were drawn and move-in occurred, to seeing things with a different eye in person than they appeared on paper, to the pressure of tight timelines. It¿s becoming evident that the more users visit their future site while it¿s under construction, the better that unanticipated details can be caught and taken care of before moving in.
