PERFORMING ARTS ADDITION
July 9, 2001 Update
DPR ACTVE IN TWO AREAS.
DPR Construction is hard at work on both the interior and exterior of Building #6 (Performing Arts). At the site of the addition, excavation and site preparation continue. If you have not seen site preparation take place, you have a great opportunity with the Performing Arts project. The sidewalk on the north side of Bristow Square (the grassy area north of the Center) provides an excellent vantage point from which to observe site work for the addition to Building #6. On the interior of the building, demolition is taking place on the second floor where the main office and faculty offices were located. Remodeling activities will be completed before fall classes and provide an upgraded main office, faculty offices, and a meeting room. During the remodel, the main office is located in the front lobby of Building #6, next to the box office. The ramp on the north side of the retaining wall between Building #6 and #5 (Physical Education) has been reopened and provides a direct route to and from the first floors of Buildings #5 and #6.
