March 4, 2002 Update
WALKWAY & ELEVATOR STAIRWAY TO OPEN SHORTLY.
On or about the 15th of this month, the walkway on the north side of Building 1 (Student Services) that runs between the elevator and Parnell Loop will open. The walkway provides a direct route from western portions of the campus to Building 2 (Business) and Building 3 (Administration). In addition to the walkway, the stairway adjacent to the elevator will also open, thereby providing access from the ground level to upper areas of the campus. While the walkway and stairs are tentatively scheduled to open the end of next week, the elevator will not reach completion until the end of the month. Signs notifying pedestrians of the status of the elevator are positioned on the west end of the walkway.
PASSAGEWAY THROUGH WTC TO MOVE.
Towards the middle of March, the temporary passageway that runs from the northeast corner of Building 19 (Workforce Training Center) to the skybridge will move further south within Building 19. Relocation of the passageway allows for completion of several classrooms and the future home of College Now. Exterior signs indicating the entrance to Building 19 will be moved just before the passageway is relocated.
