THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE DURING NETWORKING CHANGES.
Due to an upgrade of the email system on campus, bond access to the main frame was restricted during a portion of time last week. The restriction, coupled with a corresponding workload, prohibiting the posting of the campus map showing closures/restrictions.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LYNN ATKINS.
With summer drawing to a close, many employees are taking the opportunity to enjoy a summer vacation. This past week, several managers on the Bond Project Management Team were able to take a much-deserved break from their feverish duties here on campus, requiring their duties to be covered in their absence. The responsibility fell to Lynn Atkins. In addition to his regular duties, Lynn, who is the LCC Project Manager for the Campus Services, Health Tech, and Student Services projects, also oversaw the Science/Math project and worked in the field with Hyland Construction on the LTD station. Did Lynn do a great job? You bettcha! How did Lynn rest up from his big week prior to returning to work yesterday? Amazingly enough, he took a leisurely drive to South Dakota and back!
GLOBAL VIEW OF MAIN CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION ZONES AVAILABLE.
You've driven, walked, and bicycled around construction areas on campus, now take a look at an overhead perspective of LCC's main campus during current construction. By viewing the map, or LCC site plan, you will see just how much of the campus is tied up with construction, where access is restricted, and future construction areas. Are you concerned about parking availability? By showing the large blocks of restricted areas, the site plan will help you better plan for parking, as well as routes to take or avoid. All parking lots are designated by their official alphabetical titles, eg. Lot A. Because contractor fencing is slated to go up shortly at the Workforce Training Center site, Lot E, although partially closed at this time, is shown as completely restricted
Questions and comments about any bond construction activity may be directed to 744-4154 or e-mailed to bond@lanecc.edu. All communication received will be regularly reviewed by the Bond Project Management Team (BPMT), the architects, and the Facilities Management Committee.
