July 24, 2000 Update
REMODEL OF CENTER BASEMENT SCHEDULED TO BEGIN THIS WEEK.
Currently, demolition activities in the basement of the Center building are underway. Facilities Management & Planning staff are working to redefine space within the Center basement that was formerly occupied by Printing/Graphics.
Remodeling activities will produce two, temporary, general use classrooms plus office space for the Culinary Arts program. While not part of official bond remodeling that will take place, current construction in the basement will allow practical utilization of significant space until official bond work begins. Completion of the current remodel project is scheduled for September, prior to the beginning of fall term.
REMODEL OF FORMER DAYCARE MODULARS TO PROVIDE NEEDED SPACE DURING BOND CONSTRUCTION.
Current demolition activities by Facilities Management & Planning staff at the former infant daycare modular will supply the Culinary Arts program with an area for the demonstration kitchen and a classroom. Remodeling activities at the ASLCC Co-op modular will provide temporary classroom space. Work on both modulars is scheduled for completion prior to fall term.
