LTD Bus Station
June 19, 2000 Update
TEMPORARY RELOCATION OF THE LTD BUS STATION:
is scheduled, subject to change, for July 7th.
Relocation of the temporary stop will allow construction to commence on the permanent LTD stop at the main LCC entrance next to Dale Parnell Loop.
Additionally, several things will take place in order that construction on the permanent site can proceed. First, the temporary bus stop will move to the lowest parking level area of the east parking lot.
This parking area provides easy access to the 'east walk' that proceeds west, past the Daylily Garden, and ends at the courtyard between Machine Tech and the Center Building.
Secondly, approximately one third of the west parking lot will be closed off with cyclone fencing so that construction work can take place.
The closure will apply to areas on the east side of the parking lot, or those areas closest to where LTD is currently stopping. And lastly, one-way traffic on a section of Dale Parnell Loop will temporarily accommodate 2-way traffic.
Specifically, at the point where Gonyea Road becomes Dale Parnell Loop and makes the sweep left (east), running in one direction straight towards the Student Services Building construction site, traffic will become 2-way on or about July 7th until completion of construction.
USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN DRIVING ON THE WEST SIDE OF CAMPUS ADJACENT TO THE MAIN PARKING LOT AND UP THE HILL TO THE TERRACED PARKING AREAS!
Development of intercampus, directional, and site location signage for the new bus location is currently underway.
