Sewage Lagoon Upgrade
February 16, 2000 Update
Sewage Lagoon Upgrade:
Discussions with engineers, college staff and the Oregon National Guard point to tertiary treatment as the minimum upgrade necessary. An outfall line to the coast fork of the Willamette is being considered. The college and ONG are discussing an interagency agreement to cover upgrade costs. ONG wants to use the lagoons for a facility it plans to build across 30th Avenue. The facility would include classrooms, a large hall, parking and other amenities which Lane could use. ONG is considering a skybridge, tunnel, or shuttle to cross 30th.
