CHILD CARE FACILITY
June 26, 2000 Update
WORK ON ACCESS LANE FOR CHILDCARE BUILDINGS IS UNDERWAY.
The Childcare facility will undergo a simultaneous move of Buildings #2 and #3 during July.
Although Building # 2 is complete except for a few minor code variances, moving will have to be postponed until next month. Hyland Construction is still in the process of constructing the fire lane that runs between the Childcare buildings. Therefore, the inspector will not allow activities in the area by general, LCC personnel due to what is classified as "life/safety" issues. Allowing personnel into the greater Childcare area would simply not be safe. In reality, the postponement is not a hardship on Early Childhood Education or the Child Development Center since both departments do not operate during the summer months.
Building #3, Ceiling and light fixtures continue to be installed.
Building #4, Ceiling grid work is underway.
