CHILD CARE FACILITY
March 8, 2000 Update
Child Care Center:
College job manager Todd Smith and electricians Danny Avalos and Ron Case saved the college thousands last week by taking the initiative to locate and borrow a special hydraulic tool called a crimper. The crimper was needed to energize the transformer, which college electricians also installed themselves earlier in the project, and supply power to Building 1. Graybar Electric loaned the tool. Otherwise, the college would have had to buy its own crimper for about $4,000. A suspended ceiling is being installed in Building 1, and interior walls have been painted. Exterior walls will be painted when weather permits. Building 2 is in the drywall phase. Building 4 roof sheeting is being installed. Lane Family Connections is expected to move into Building 3 in early May. General contractor is John Hyland.
