Bond Highlights - December 16, 1999
DAWN REDWOOD MOVED
Groundskeepers Frank Drengacz and Cort Richer moved the Hank Douda memorial dawn redwood on December 15. The 25-foot tree was relocated from the Business lawn, where the new Student Services Building will be constructed. It was planted in the future memorial grove site between Science and Training and Development. Hatcher Crane Service used a 35-ton crane to lift and place the tree, which weighed about 4,500 pounds. Photos will be posted on the bond web site at http://2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/bond1995/ . Drengacz notes, "Yes, we know the tree is crooked. We will straighten it when we put up permanent guy wires."
Questions and comments about any bond construction activity may be directed to 744-4154 or e-mailed to bond@lanecc.edu. All communication received will be regularly reviewed by the Bond Project Management Team (BPMT), the architects, and the Facilities Management Committee.
