Bond Update - July 16, 1999Site preparation to begin on 3 ProjectsOn Monday, July 19th, Gary Burnett Earthmoving will begin site preparation of the Science addition. By midweek, the Bond Project Management Team anticipates that Delta Construction Company will begin site preparation of the Child Care Center project and west side parking lot improvements. Before site work on the Child Care Center or the parking lots begins, security fencing will be erected around each of these sites, as has been done next to the Science building. Site development for the Science addition also requires the relocation of an existing water line that supplies the fire hydrant at the southwest corner of the Science building. While the exact route for the water line has not been determined, there is a strong probability that the southeast corner of the Forum building will be fenced off while contractors complete the relocation. Permanent Delivery Routes Due to the location of the new Welding Technology building, architects are developing a different, permanent delivery route for vendors accessing the Campus Services building. Health Technology Renovation According to gLAs architects, 50% of the Health Technology design development phase is completed. It is anticipated that completion of renovation is in line with the project schedule. The Bond Project Management Team is currently developing a sequencing plan that addresses the relocation order, duration, and housing of all Health Technology students, staff and faculty affected by the renovation. The Bond Project Management Team(BPMT) will be available during summer hours to provide information and answer any questions that may arise. All communication received by the BPMT during summer months will be reviewed regularly by the team, the architects, and the Facilities Management Committee.
