"Hands On" Activities BeginThe Bond Management Team is pleased to announce that the main-campus survey proposals were submitted and Branch Engineering has been selected to complete this portion of the project. Survey work began on Thursday, July 30th, and areas for new construction will be surveyed in the following order: Welding, Early Childhood Education, Science/Math, Workforce Training Center/Student Services, Performing Arts.Additionally, the management team is asking for soil testing proposals. This testing takes place in order to determine if the proposed new construction sites will demand further ground preparation before building can take place. In regard to the outreach centers, the Community Learning Center at Churchill High School is just completing the sheet rock phase of construction. This facility is due to open September '98. The Bond Management Team (BMT) will be available at 744-4154 or 747-4501 Ext. 2727 during summer hours to answer any questions and give information. All communication received by the BMT during the summer months will be reviewed regularly by the team, the architects and the Facilities Management Committee. | |
