Archive of Bond 1995 - Bond Status Report - 11/14/2001

The following Bond 1995 Projects Status Report was presented to the Lane Community College Board of Education at its March 14, 2000 meeting.

Main Campus Projects:

Workforce Training:
Roofing is 90% complete, installation of "store-front" windows has started, exterior walls are framed and sheathed, brick veneer is 85% complete, interior framing is 65% complete, roof framing and brick veneer have started on exterior elevator.

Performing Arts Addition:
Roof is complete, metal siding and stucco has been applied to exterior walls, window frames have been installed, and masonry and interior framing is complete. Scheduled completion date is January 24, 2002.

Central Plant Upgrade, Phase 2, Heating Water Improvements:
Demolition is complete and framing has started. At the date of writing this report, the building permit has still not been issued. Not all the costs for this project are known yet but the final amount will be more than the budgeted amount.

Seismic Upgrade:
A package of seismic upgrade elements along with their estimated costs will be presented to you at the December Board meeting.

Center Building, 4th Floor Remodel:
Discussion and studies of the Social Science Department space are continuing.

Archives:
At the October work session the Board requested that a cost/benefit comparison between leasing space off-campus or building on-campus to house college archives be done. The result of that study will be presented at the December Board meeting.


General Comments:

The Welding Technology Building; Addition to Campus Services Building; Parking Lot Improvements; Child Care Center; Math-Science Addition; Bus Station; Student Services Building; Central Plant Upgrade, Phase I; Health Tech, all phases; Center 2nd floor north, Phase 1; and P.A.-P.E. ramp have all been completed.
