Archive of Bond 1995 - Bond Status Report - 10/09/2001
The following Bond 1995 Projects Status Report was presented to the Lane Community College Board of Education at its March 14, 2000 meeting.
Main Campus Projects:
Workforce Training:
Picketing has not occurred in the last month. Steel stud wall framing in former Apprenticeship building is 85% complete. Roofing is 50% complete on west addition. Brick work has started and is 40% complete on
the west addition. Exterior wall framing is 90% complete on the south addition. HVAC ductwork is 95% complete on the 1st floor of the old Apprenticeship building.
Health Tech. Remodel, Phases 2 & 3:
Project has been completed except for a few items. Classes are being held and offices occupied.
Sewage Lagoon Upgrade
A meeting of all of the affected parties has been scheduled for October 18. A narrowing of the acceptable upgrade options is expected to come from this meeting.
Performing Arts Addition:
Remodel of 2nd floor offices, reception and conference rooms has been completed and is occupied. Still a few problems to be resolved. Concrete slab has been poured on 1st floor.
Center Building 2nd floor Remodel-Phase 1:
Project has been completed and the spaces are occupied.
Center Building 2nd floor Remodel-Phase 2:
Demolition is complete. Difficulties with the HVAC system delayed completion of the plans for about a month. The plans have now been completed and have been submitted to the county for building permit review. The time schedule for this project could be delayed for a couple of months depending on when the building permit is issued.
Central Plant Upgrade, Phase 2, Heating Water Improvements:
New concrete bases have been poured for the exterior fuel tank and the boiler.
Seismic Upgrade:
Recommended that upgrade consist of stabilizing the 2nd floor terrace structure, repair some structural support at the southeast terrace stair and beam connection to the Forum and replace some non-structural light fixtures in the Center building.
Center Building, 4th Floor Remodel:
English, Foreign Language and Speech PUG has complete its planning update. A special meeting of the Facilities Management Team is schedule for November 29 to discuss the change of plans requested by the Social Science Department PUG.
General Comments:
The Welding Technology Building; Addition to Campus Services Buidling; Parking Lot Improvements; Child Care Center; Math-Science Addition; Bus Station; Student Services; Central Plant Upgrade, Phase I; Health Tec, Phase I; Center 2nd floor north, Phase I; and the P.A.-P.E. ramp have all been completed.
