Publications

Lane Community College: The Parnell Years, by Larry Romine, 1998. A history of the founding of the college in the 1960s focusing on the contributions of Dale Parnell, first president of the college, 1965-1968.

Fourth and Madison: A History of the Eugene Vocational School, 1938-1965, by David Butler, 1976. A history of Eugene Vocational School (1938-1958) and Eugene Technical-Vocational School (1958-1964). EVS and ETVS are predecessors of Lane. 

Twenty Years: A Great Beginning, Public Relations Office, 1985. A history about the founding, students, instructional programs, community programs, facilities, governance, and funding of the college, 1964-1985. 

Lane Community College: 25 Years of Building Success. The program for Lane's 25th Anniversary Celebration, April 27, 1990. The program includes lists of board members, presidents, selected committees, and awards from 1965 to 1990.

Archives

The college Archives documents the history of the college by preserving a variety of materials in a variety of collections. These materials are open to the adminstration, staff, faculty, and students of Lane as well as to the community at large.

Institutional Research, Assessment & Planning (IRAP)

Institutional Research, Assessment and Planning compiles information and statistics concerning students, staff, and programs at Lane. IRAP makes available on its website charts and tables that illustrate student characteristics such as enrollment, gender, class load, and age. IRAP also compiles the Fact Book which includes a detailed account of student FTE, headcount, and enrollment history; historical and statistical data on employee characteristics such as headcount, minority status, and gender; and departmental FTE statistics. The Fact Book contains a chronological listing of vocational programs and a summary of information about the tax base, serial levy, and budget elections.
