LCC graduation set for June 12, 2004
EUGENE - Lane Community College graduation will be held Saturday, June 12, 2004, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Lane County Fairgrounds, for college degree and certificate students, Adults With Special Needs students, and GED students.
Speaking will be President Mary Spilde, Board of Education Chair Mike Rose, student body president Rebecca Hill, and instructor Merrick Simms. The student keynote address will be given by Trisha McNiel, winner of the annual keynote address contest open to all graduating students.
This spring, Lane will award approximately 1,100 degrees and certificates to about 1,000 students. About half typically participate in the commencement ceremony.
